RUSS HAY'S & SIMBS Team up On Pilot Project
(Posted Nov 30th, 2003)
SIMBS launches a pilot project with Russ Hays "The
Bicycle Shop" to
build our membership numbers. The Sales To Active Membership Program
(STAMP) program includes a SIMBS membership with every new mountain
bike sold over $500. The STAMP program will be available at both
Russ Hays locations, 650 Hillside Ave., Victoria and 9781 A Second
Street, Sidney. As this is a membership initiative and not a benefit
of membership, this offer is only open to non-SIMBS members new
bike purchases.
The STAMP pilot project will be exclusive to Russ
Hays for December and January. This will give us time to get the
bugs worked out before the official launch to other shops February
01, 2004. If you have
questions about the STAMP program or would like to participate in
it,
contact james@simbs.com
or 389-1009.

SIMBS Membership Drive (Posted Nov 3rd,
2003)
Are you tired of losing great trails to development or
special interest groups? Vocal dog owners complained to CRD that
cyclists do more damage than their off leash dogs. The result, mountain
biking at Thetis Lake Park has been put on hold for a further 2
years. SIMBS currently has 111 registered members. We need to increase
those numbers if we want to have a voice that politicians will listen
to.
Politicians only listen to the vocal majority.
Let's do something about it!
Join SIMBS today and join
the fight for your right to ride.
