Where: Hartland Trails Victoria.

What: Poker Run.... Ride around and get cards

Why: Fun, Support SIMBS, Meet other riders, Glory.
Time: Registration from 12-1:45pm - Race at 2:00pm
Cost: $5.00

Same event as last year.
Kind of like a Dump navigation ride. You get a map with 4 points and you try to get to all of the points and pick up cards from each dealer.

You get your 5th card when you get back to the parking lot. Prizes for best hand, worst hand, other stuff. There is a 2 hour time limit. You will have fun.

It's cheap $5. Come out for Trail maintenance(8:30) before the Poker Run and get that warm feeling that you can only get when you help build a trail that you ride.

Join us for SIMBS trail maintenance Sunday July 18th at 8:45 am at the Hartland parking lot.

We supply the tools, gloves and training. RSVP to Chris by Friday July 16th at 9 am and I will have a roast beef, turkey, or veggie sandwich for you. Please let me know what you would like.

If you don't respond by the deadline, you are still welcome to join us. Just bring your own snack. Email if you have any questions or to let me know you are coming. Bring your bike for a ride afterwards - we have secure storage.

Projects this month include more new trail construction on Fun Trail and pruning. If you have a scythe, now is the time to bring it!

You know what I like most about being a mountain biker?

No, it's not thumbing my nose at the lycra laden, speed driven, rainbow coloured road racers - 'cause I'm one of those too.

It's about belonging to a culture of like minded people who respect their environment and take the time to nurture it, like the bikers who helped to clean up the garbage left behind at one of the newest CRD parks - the Sea to Sea park reserve.

The CRD, Hoots Inc and SIMBS teams continue building step-ups, step-downs, berms and tabletops on the new Torpedo Run trail.

Please obey all signs and stay well away from the trail and equipment until the trail has been completed.

Don't miss the SIMBS/Dirty Girlz movie night on Thursday April 8th 6:30 at the Victoria Events Center.

This event is free for current members, a great time to renew your membership for $20, or if you just want to see the movie you can get in for $10.
