August 29th Partridge Trail Day

Trail Day Recap: Buffing, Raking, and
On August 29th, four awesome volunteers joined Keegan in Partridge Hills for a day of restoration work and some good old-fashioned trail buffing. It was hot, it was dusty, and the trails are better for it.
Joe’s Berms
The crew started on the restored sections of Joe’s berms, watering the trees and shrubs that are helping bring that area back to life. Restoration work isn’t the flashiest part of trail building, but it’s what keeps our trails sustainable for the long haul.
Swipe Right
Next up, they raked out leaves and rocks and gave Swipe Right some much-needed buffing. Smooth and swipe-worthy once again.
Guardrail
The crew then hiked over to Guardrail, where they trimmed branches and cleared sightlines, buffed the trail, and partially armoured a rut through one of the tight switchbacks. That switchback should feel a whole lot friendlier on your next lap.
Trail conditions
Things are still very dusty out there, but almost all of Partridge has been raked and is running pretty well right now.
What’s next
We’ll be taking on some bigger projects this fall, and we need more hands with shovels! No experience needed, just bring gloves, water, and a willingness to get a little dirty. Join our Trail Crew mailing list below for upcoming trail day dates.
A huge thank you to everyone who came out and gave their time!
