Trail Day Recap! - Nov 09/2024

Big shout out to our volunteers who turned up on a rainy Saturday to work on Sofa King this weekend!
Together they moved a lot of material to get it open again, with time to spare for the upcoming Tenner.

The team focused on two areas:
- the large berm after the rock roll/wall-ride midway down, and
- the entrance of the new section midway down.

The corner is mostly complete but will continue to be dressed, and after the race and some rain, will receive a new water management treatment.
At the entrance to the new section, the tread has been built up significantly to smooth out the grade and the side of it has been re-naturalized.

While this section continues to be worked on, the blue line remains open.
The ongoing trail work will be done in sections, with the new trail being integrated as we go along.

If you're keen to come out and either help build berms & jumps, or re-naturalized trail as we go, email trailcrew+subscribe@simbs.com to get on the mailing list for our upcoming trail days.

We acknowledge with gratitude that we live and enjoy recreation on the unceded territories of the W̱SÁNEĆ People.
